Music-oriented daycare centre Pilke Paahtimo in Vallila

Pilke’s music-oriented daycare centre Paahtimo opened on Sturenkatu Street in January 2021. Pilke Paahtimo provides high-quality child-centred early childhood education and care at a warm-spirited daycare centre with places for 69 children. At our daycare centre, every child is the super star of their life, just the way they are.

Music, songs and rhymes

Our objective is to provide children with musical experiences, capacities and skills as well as experiences of learning and success. We also encourage the children to start longer-term musical hobbies. We express the musical learning orientation through our love for music, and among other activities, we sing, play instruments, dance and improvise in a joyful atmosphere every day.

Early skills in English

We also offer language-enriched early childhood education in English for children over three years of age. In our language-enriched education, children can practise familiar songs, rhymes and concepts in English through common singing and pondering activities. The language-enriched activities are an easy way for a child to familiarise with a language in a gradual manner.
