At Home in Nature daycare centre Pilke Uikunkoto was established in the Helsinki district of Viikki in 2013. We are next-door neighbours with At Home in Nature daycare centre Sotkankoto with which we engage in regular cooperation. Uikunkoto’s everyday life is shared by approximately 26 children, 4 educators and a daycare assistant.

Home in Nature daycare centre Sotkankoto

Pilke Sotkankoto’s nature-oriented lifestyle is shared by 42 children and their families, 6 educators and a daycare assistant. We place emphasis on play and outdoor activities in nature as well as spending unhurried time and doing things together. Our activities are based on the idea of playful, active and unique children. Children’s participation and a sustainable lifestyle are values that guide our everyday operation.
